International promotion and advertising technologies festival PROMEDIATECH

The International promotion and advertising technologies festival ProMediaTech, one of the largest professional events for specialists of the exhibition and event industry, retail segment, e-commerce, digital marketing and MICE in Russia, was held January 24 and 25, 2022 at Crocus Expo.

ProMediaTech was organized with participation of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. The event was supported by: the Union of Exhibition Contractors (SRO SVZ), the National Association of Event Organizers (NAOM) and the leading industry associations.

The goal of the project is to incorporate on the same platform online promotion channels (IT technologies, digital, E-commerce, network promotion, advertising on the Internet) and offline business communication platforms (exhibition stands, equipment, advertising and promotional materials) in the exhibition business, event industry and retail.

EXPOSITION

The latest developments in the field of business promotion and organization of events were presented on exposition comprising 7 000 sq m. 116 companies from all over Russia (Central Federal District, Northwestern Federal District and Ural Federal District) demonstrated trends and innovations of the industry, as well as examples of successful implementation and adaptation of the latest developments of the industry to promote business. Among exhibitors were 4 VIDA, ExpoForum Design, AEG, EuroExpo Stand, ExpoLink, BuildExpo, Bestly & Ko, VARS Expo, Montazhnik PO, Dart Group, Negus Expo International, R2 Expo, EBR Expo, Divex, EMG Design, Interform Expo, MX Group, Grata Production, Estelar, RealExpo Service, Expomaster group, Atlant Expo, Expo Mir, NewSpire and others.

BUSINESS PROGRAM

The first day of ProMediaTech began with the IV All-Russian Conference of the Exhibition Build up Industry. Kai Hattendorf, Managing Director of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), welcomed the participants of the conference within the frames of the session held by the Union of Exhibition Contractors SRO. Yevgeny Zasimov, Superjob business coach, highlighted the topic of finding and hiring personnel for the exhibition business industry: he spoke about the situation in the labor market and effective hiring tools, presented trends and a review of the salaries of applicants, and held a master class.

Expert discussion and wow-technologies battle Emotions Marketing. How do Emotions Help to Attract Clients? became the next significant event of the first day of the exhibition. The event had been organized by Evgenia Manukovskaya, founder of Expomap.ru, expert in launching and promoting hybrid and online events, author of the Expolead course. The event was held in the format of a battle of the emotion marketing products featuring interesting technologies that increase customer engagement, raise conversions and, at the end of the day, attract customers. Participants held short presentations with feedback from experts and a final audience vote for the best product. The experts were: Anna Nebaeva, Marketing director of Tinkoff Kassa; Nicholas Koro, Chief curator of the Research Center of Brandmanagement and Brand Technology RCB&B; Ekaterina Moskvina, Deputy General Director of BUSINESS DIALOGUE, public representative of the Russian Convention Bureau. According to the results of the vote, the VResorts project, which was presented by its founder Vladimir Varnavsky, was recognized as the most interesting.

Session by the National Association of Event Organizers Why Do We Need Technical Production completed the business program of the first day. Speakers: Igor Polonsky, Head of Director's Cut; Ilya Evdokimov, CEO of Brothers Production. Technical production of events; Kirill Kosenko, Director General of BURO 3K; Dmitry Pokras, Head of Pokrass Production directing group).

The main event of the second day of ProMediaTech became the session Marketing and Sales. The event was moderated by Diana Kotova, a member of the Marketing Guild, a certified expert on marketing communications, Executive Director of AVS, executive secretary of the commission on exhibition activities of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). Key presentations during the session:

  • Trends and solutions in retail 2022 from Yandex.Direct. Viktor Palamarchuk, Head of performance sales Yandex, presented a detailed market analysis, spoke about focus of work; new tools to facilitate the launch of an advertising campaign; conversions, strategies and strategies training; business problems meeting.
  • Alina Zinnatullina, CEO of INSIGHT People platform, spoke about Influence Marketing as an Effective Promotion Mechanism.

 

Business, transformational, coaching and psychological games were held within a special Zone of games of the OOOOO.EVENTS agency January 24 and 25. The events were held by the staff of the companies BRefactor, GamEducation, Salestream Consulting, Step2Future and specialists of the International Professional Guild of Psychologists Game-practitioners.

VISITORS

ProMediaTech was attended by 2,000 visitors: leading contracting companies for the development and equipment of stands, forums and events of any scale, manufacturers and suppliers of materials and equipment, marketers, event managers, PR specialists, brand managers, designers, architects, SMM specialists, digital marketers. The area of activity of most visitors is marketing and advertising.

Experts got acquainted with effective sales techniques, proven marketing tools, the latest trends and the latest technologies to promote companies.

In 2020 the exhibition season of Crocus Expo, the largest expo venue in Russia and Eastern Europe, own projects started with the 12th International festival of promotion and advertising technologies ProMediaTech, one of the largest professional events for the exhibition and event industries, retail segment, e-commerce and MICE specialists in Russia. The project was held January 28 through 29, 2020.

Professionals of the industry and representatives of the expo business and specialists of the spheres of events, MICE, e-commerce, retail, marketing and advertising attended the festival aiming to exchange experience, to review successful cases from leading experts, as well as to get the maximum of real lifehacks for promotion and optimization of sales.

The event was traditionally supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (TPP of the Russian Federation), the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs (RUEF), the National Congress Bureau, the National Association of Event Organizers (NAOM), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the National Congress Bureau (NKB) and other authoritative industry associations and unions, as well loyal partners of the project.

Vladimir Dmitriyev, the TPP of the Russian Federation Vice President, noted during the interview that work with exhibitions, fairs and congress events for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was one of the relevant areas of activity. The Chamber regularly held meetings on exhibition and congress activities, in which participated the interested players of the market. They were satisfied with the dynamics with which the industry had been developing in the country.

EXPOSITION

ProMediaTech 2020 exposition comprised 10 000 sq m. More than 200 companies, among which were the largest representatives of various fields of expo building, event industry, Digital marketing and Promo in Russia.

The exhibitors presented long-awaited industry innovations, told about trends and opportunities to promote products and services in various sectors of the economy, demonstrated examples of successful implementation and adaptation of the latest developments and the latest digital technologies.

The number of the festival visitors exceeded 6 000 people from 30 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Morocco, Russia, USA, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Japan and others.

The 3rd All-Russian conference of the industry of exhibition building Staffing and Standardization. Where to Find Specialists of the Industry? became the highlight of the business program. The organizers of the event were: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Exhibition Builders Union SRO.

Panel discussions were held within conference #Pro Event & Expo, a communication platform for the expo and event industries professionals. The discussions were organized by the Exhibition Builders Union SRO, the National Association of Event Organizers and the National Congress Bureau. The attendees considered trends of the event industry, use of modern methodology as tools for sustainable development, talked about VS technologies and the issue of humanity in the Digital era, industry leadership and building effective customer relationships, and focused on key market rules.

Visitors had an opportunity to learn about popular business games in the Business Games zone #GameZone (organizer: events agency OOOOO.EVENTS). Trend and practical tools assisting in solution of business challenges, various business games intended for staff training and opportunities for games integration into ones own customer and enterprise events were presented and tested.

Annual meetings of the members of the Exhibition Builders Union SRO was traditionally held within the frames of the project as well. Strategic goals and challenges at the exhibition industry market for the coming 2020 year and development prospects of the industry as a whole were defined at the meeting.

The International festival of promotion and advertising technologies ProMediaTech, one of the largest B2B event in Russia for specialists of exhibition and event industries, retail segment, e-commerce, MICE and online/offline promotion, was successfully held January 29 and 30, 2019 in Crocus Expo. Thus the event has opened the new expo season for the own Crocus Expo projects. This year ProMediaTech was held under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and with assistance of the leading national industry organizations. Modern practices and tendencies in MICE, media and Internet promotion, successful business cases on effective reconciliation of online/offline promotion and increase of sales became the issues of the conference #ETDconf Winter: Leads and Sales with MICE and Internet (organizer: XFaces, one of ProMediaTech partners). More than 20 speakers in a manner that should prove as engaging as it is informative told about marketing practices and technologies, advising promotion methods in online trading.

Experts from the leading domestic branch organizations – the Russian Association of Marketing Services (RAMU) and the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Russia – offered lectures within the frames of the Digitalization 2019: Advertising, Marketing, Branding program, which covered the issues of the most up-to-date digital trends.

The 2nd All-Russian conference of the exhibition building industry Digital Technologies in Exhibition Organization and Building became the highlight of the ProNediaTech 2019 program. The organizers of the event were  the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Exhibition Builders Union SRO with assistance of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service on Taxes and Fees, the Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology. Vladimir Dmitriyev, Vice president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, acted as the moderator of the plenary session.

Annual meetings of the Exhibition Builders Union SRO members were traditionally held within the frames of the project. Strategic goals and challenges at the exhibition industry market for the coming year and development prospects of the industry as a whole were defined. The meeting attendees discussed aspects of holding seminars on labour safety measures, the organization and implementation of monitoring and research of the exhibition services market, raised issues of interaction with government institutions for industrial standards development as well.

The anniversary tenth edition of the International festival of promotion and advertising technologies ProMediaTech, one of the most significant B2B event in Russia for specialists of the exhibition and event industry, retail segment, e-commerce, MICE and online/offline promotion was held January 17 and 18, 2018 in Crocus Expo.
